AndNowUKnow: Crunch Pak, Vidalia Onions and Del Monte - Quick Dish


Crunch Pak is helping consumers satisfy their need for speed and appetite for apples! The company is now featuring an assortment of Disney·Pixar "Cars 2" characters, including favorites Lightning McQueen, Fillmore, Sally, Ramone and Luigi. The promotion will appear on four-different package sizes including 2-ounce bags of sliced apples, 2-ounce bags of apples with caramel dip and multi-pack clamshells. "Tony Freytag, Director of National Marketing, explained, "We are excited to bring these loved characters to our sliced apples packages. We know they will deliver excitement for kids to encourage them to eat healthy food and also provide a solution for parents looking for healthy lunch box or on-the-go-snacks." From a spunky 74-year-old with a ukulele to an Elvis impersonator , the Vidalia Onion Jingle Contest is creating quite the buzz! The Vidalia Onion Committee stopped accepting submissions July 5th, and since then, more than 70000 people have visted www.vidaliaonion.org to cast their votes! The contestant with the most popular jingle wins 1000 dollars, while another winner based on talent and creativity will take home an Ultimate Nashville Getaway. Wendy Brannen, Executive Director of the farmer organization, stated, "We've gotten numerous e-mails thanking us for creating a fun, family-friendly contest, but boy, some people really get hot when their favorite tune is not on top!"
